Our founder and CEO,
Francisca TemiMogul, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to ChefTemii. With a passion for food and a rich culinary history, Francisca learned to cook delicious Nigerian dishes from her mother at an early age. She then went on to pursue her education in the United Kingdom, where she cooked for fellow students who were homesick for Nigerian food.
After graduation in 2003, Francisca moved to the United States and lived in New York, where she worked for MasterCard Corporation. During her time in New York, Francisca saw a need for African cuisine and opened a restaurant called Gourmet Jollof. The restaurant was a huge success and was run for 10 years until Francisca closed it and moved to Dallas, Texas for family reasons.
With her background and success in the culinary industry, Francisca is now bringing her passion for food and expertise in African cuisine to Texas through ChefTemii. At ChefTemii, our goal is to replicate the success of Gourmet Jollof Restaurant by providing our customers with an unforgettable dining experience.

New to the DFW area, we stumbled upon Chef Temi via google. We went just before thanksgiving and Chef Temi and her teammate Oj were extremely kind and helpful. We order sample meals to prepare for a future catering order. We truly enjoyed everything we purchased: Egusi Stew, Fried Rice, Jollof Roce, Plantains, Moin Moin, Meatpie and assorted meats! This is the place to get authentic Nigerian dishes around the DFW. I have had most of the meals on the menu and its very well made. The owner is pleasant and very accommodating. She doesn't offer a dining experience for walk-ins which is why some people have given the low review. Its best to call-in advance to place your order for a pleasant experience.

We are from Tennessee visiting family and decided that we'd love to get some Nigerian food bc it's not plentious in our part of TN. Business advertised open hours for Saturday (4p). We pull up, it's dark inside and CLOSED. Call the number listed 3xs with no answer. Extremely unprofessional to advertise as open but closed. Answer the phone for customers at least!

Visiting from our of town and wanted naija food! Ordered egusi and pounded yam! It was delicious. Tasty, full of flavors. Also tried jellof rice which was like party jellof, it want dry, it was wonderful. I would Order again and highly recommend. I loved that care was taken with packaging especially of soup so it didn't spill!

I enjoyed trying this Nigerian restaurant and event center. The food is amazing specifically the fufu and egusi. One thing that I love distinctively about the restaurant is when you order for delivery, pickup or to go, the packaging is distinctively put together. It keeps the food from spilling specifically the soups I love it. The chicken tastes great and with the packaging I get more bang for my buck.

I have tried many places and this is the best I’ve ever had and the owner is so sweet! You can tell she really puts love in her meals. The flavors are perfect and the quality of the ingredients are amazing. I had efo riro, Egusi, and pepper soup. Omg I was so sad when it was all gone lol. I live 3 1/2 hours away but I will be a returning customer because it’s so worth the drive! You have a gift when it comes to cooking.
